Timeline for Public Comment
After MUCH research, we've put together what we think is a complete and accurate list of all the Gen Cons EVER. We'd like to open it up to public comment, though, to be sure that something hasn't slipped our attention before it's included in the book! So, if you think there's something on the list that needs to be corrected, please post a comment to this entry saying why you think this is and giving any supporting evidence you have for the change. Thanks Ryan! We're trying to confirm everything with more than one source, to stay as accurate as possible ... can you tell me how you know this? For example, maybe you have the program book and it says so, or you could give us the address of a website that ran a review of the con and mentioned the dates, or the time stamp on your photos is for that weekend, or whatever.

Here's a specific question we've gotten snagged on ... was the 1984 Gen Con South at Thunderbird Resort in Jacksonville FL or at Royal d'Iberville Hotel in Biloxi Mississippi? We have conflicting sources for this one, but the stronger ones seems to point to Thunderbird.

The 1984 GC South was at the Thunderbird. I went to the Ramada in '81 and the convention center in '82, but didn't have the time to go to subsequent ones.

I seem to remember going to a GenCon in the late 70's that was in Anahiem CA (near Disneyland) that I do not see in the list. Have I lost my mind?

Maybe you're confusing it with Gen Con SoCal? Those were in Anaheim from 2003 - 2006.
